We finally have ICE!  After a balmy holiday season, three days in the teens gave The IceBox @ Ladd Arena an inch of ice. Two inches on the shallow and 4″ on the deep ends still have water to freeze under the top inch.  And yet, what has froze was enough for a morning skate-around (in full pads).  Long-term forecast shows this Thr & Fri getting just above 40 degrees in Chicagoland before dropping back down.  Another week will give me enough time to get lines down and add an additional top inch.  Realistically the back-yard hockey season will start on on an atypical special Saturday evening the 14th.  Ice open to any and all clients, partners or IceBox regulars every Sunday night 7:00 – 9:30.
